Benimassot is known as the Serrella viewpoint - its elevated position affords views over the entire valley, and especially over the rocky formations known as Els Frares (The Brothers). The white balcony that runs along the village provides magnificent views of this little known valley of Alicante province. This is a typical small farming village of Islamic origins, with steep narrow and silent streets bestrewn with flowerpots. Access to the village is gained via a small tunnel.
Gastronomy:
Puchero amb pilotes de dacsa (stew), arrós al forn (baked rice), coquetes fregides (little pie).
Monuments:
Seventeenth-century parish church. Mount Calvary.
Festivals and Events:
Fiestas are held during the second half of August in honour of the Immaculate Conception, with open-air celebrations, and a reveille performed by the Municipal Band.
Situation:
Situated on the southern slope of the Sierra de Almudaina. The best way of reaching the place is to take the road from Cocentaina and Gorga to Castell de Castells. Located 80 km from Alicante and 119 km from Benidorm.

Tosal Blanc, Penyó de Cantacuc, covetes Rojes. The recreational areas of Font de Frau and El Molí.
