Those who enjoy hiking should stay in Callosa d´En Sarrià and experience places nearby that have remained unchanged for more than fifty years. This is certainly the case for Bolulla a farming village with a jumble of single-storied houses. Very few historical texts refer to Bolulla, though the village probably dates back to Moorish times when it was a farmstead. It was re-conquered by the troops of King Jaime I in 1254. The remains of Gartx castle are situated to the north of the municipal district, at the summit of mount Castellet.
