Terra Mítica, Terra Natura, Safari Park, Aqualandia, Mundomar, Aquanatura and Aquópolis are just a few of the region’s theme parks

Children always come first, although the activities on offer for children in this province can be enjoyed by the entire family. Take a visit to the large number of theme parks located throughout the province and in Benidorm in particular, where you will find Terra Mítica, with the best attractions and shows for children of all ages; Terra Natura and Mundomar, an unbeatable way to let your children get close to different animals from around the world in an almost natural habitat; and Aqua Natura and Aqualandia, two popular water theme parks. Theme parks in other towns include the Río Safari in Elche, with animals from different continents, Pola Park in Santa Pola and the water parks of Aquópolis in Torrevieja and Aquapark in Rojales. You can also enjoy the Vital Park Center in Parcent, the Aitana Safari Park (located between Sella and the port of Tudons), and themed shows offered at the Duke's Castle in L'Alfàs del Pi.

The castles located throughout the province are another idea for entertaining your children. You can also choose to visit the large number of museums that are suitable for the little ones, such as the Toy Museum in Ibi, unique in Spain; the Doll Museum in Onil; the Chocolate Museum in Villajoyosa; the Museum of Turron in Jijona; the Fire Brigade Museum in Alcoy and the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, where there is always something new to learn.

If you plan on visiting the Costa Blanca at Christmas, you cannot miss Alcoy's very own nativity scene called Belén del Tirisiti and the performances of the International Puppet Festival in Alicante.
