Alicante’s climate and setting make it the ideal place in which to study Spanish, whether in its universities or in one of the 20 schools located throughout the Costa Blanca
Almost 10,000 people of different nationalities visit the Costa Blanca every year to study Spanish. Without a doubt, the main attraction is its climate, but visitors are also interested in its setting, cultural activities and services and the opportunity to enjoy its natural and historical heritage.
This is so much so that, in addition to the University of Alicante and the University of Miguel Hernández de Elche (which receive large numbers of students every year thanks to its international exchange programmes), the province has also experienced a significant increase in private education centres for teaching Spanish. Thus, there are now over twenty Spanish language schools for foreigners throughout the province.
The region's museums, festivals, gastronomy and landscapes complement this supply of language courses, which have grown in line with the demands of this sector. Language students also enjoy the nightlife and leisure activities offered in the Costa Blanca, as well as its water sports and beautiful beaches, which help to make their stay even more enjoyable.
